First Annual Conference on
Institutional Mechanisms for Industry Self-Regulation
February 24-25, 2006
Hanover, NH

This conference will convene scholars researching mechanisms for solving common industry problems. Examples include codes of conduct, standards, industry norms, collaborative agreements, information disclosure standards, and ratings organizations. These programs govern a wide array of domains including worker and product safety, technological compatibility, fiduciary responsibility, environmental management, advertising, broadcast media, privacy, and digital rights and other forms of intellectual property.

You can view the program agenda, register for the conference, and view information about traveling to Hanover. We have posted some hotel information, but more information will be available soon.

This year the conference will take place in conjunction with the Annual Conference on Business Sustainability at Dartmouth College.  Participants in this conference are invited to attend the 4th Annual Business Sustainability Initiative Conference , a practitioner conference that attracts business and community leaders to discuss mechanisms for solving problems of industry and national development. This year, the BSI conference will emphasize industry self-regulation as a means for solving environmental problems such as pollution and overuse of common resources.
