The goals for this meeting included the following:
- To gain some understanding of each other's companies and the chief issues they face as CIOs;
- To make a list of topics they would like to address in future roundtables, deciding on a topic for the April 2008 Roundtable in London, and prioritizing some topics for the Fall 2008 joint Roundtable in Munich;
- To review how the Roundtable has been run in the U.S. and express and agree on expectations for the European chapter;
- To have a short content discussion about the role of the CIO, where it is headed, and what the key issues are in Europe.
