Mr. Kendall is the founding managing director and the chief executive officer of Kenmont, an investment management firm specializing in alternative investments and private equity. Mr. Kendall most recently utilized his extensive background in the power and energy industries overseeing event driven, distressed, capital structure arbitrage and private equity investments in these sectors for Carlson Capital, L.P, while overseeing Kenmont’s private equity fund of funds. From 1993 to 1998, Mr. Kendall was president of Cogen Technologies Capital Company, L.P. In addition to his duties at Cogen, Mr. Kendall was the founding chairman and chief executive officer of Palmetto Partners, Ltd., a family office and investment management company. He has established significant private equity portfolios at four firms including building, managing and marketing a $1.56 billion asset focused private equity portfolio. He has also been involved in initial public offerings, project finance, leasing, restructurings and workouts, recapitalizations and merger and acquisition assignments and has completed in excess of $20 billion in financing transactions. He has served as a trustee of Hamilton College (and as a member of its Investment Committee), a member of the Houston Committee on Foreign Relations, a board member of Zoo, Inc., The Jane Goodall Institute as well as Earthwatch Institute, and as a member of the board of overseers for the Tuck School of Business. He obtained his AB from Hamilton College and received his MBA, with distinction, from the Tuck School of Business. | ||
