Steve Powell is the Academic Director of the INFORMS Summer Workshop on Teaching Management Science. This annual workshop will begin in July, 2004. Its goal is to improve the teaching effectiveness of participants by providing a practical background in learning theory, communicating effective strategies for teaching management science, and creating an on-going community for monitoring and sharing pedagogical experiments.
