Ken Baker is a faculty member at Dartmouth College. He is currently Nathaniel
Leverone Professor of Management at the Tuck School of Business and also
Adjunct Professor at the Thayer School of Engineering. He teaches courses
relating to mathematical modeling and operations management. He was a
principal investigator on the Spreadsheet Engineering Research Project and
author/co-author of two spreadsheet-based modeling textbooks, Management
Science: The Art of Modeling with Spreadsheets (with Steve Powell) and
Optimization Modeling with Spreadsheets. Over the years, much of his
teaching and research has dealt with operations planning and control, and he
is widely known for his work on sequencing and scheduling. His book
Principles of Sequencing and Scheduling updates his earlier
books on the subject and is co-authored with Dan Trietsch. At Tuck he has served as
Associate Dean and Associate Dean of Faculty, and at Thayer he has served as
Co-director of the Master of Engineering Management (MEM) Program.
