Profile: Max is a dyed-in-the-wool Londoner, so the move to rural Hanover was quite a culture shock for him. However, with two seasons of tripod hockey under his belt, his first ever skiing (both downhill and cross-country) and a snowmobiling expedition planned, he is starting to be sold on spending some time outside the big smoke. Before Tuck, he studied Maths and Computer Science at the University of Cambridge, followed by stints in a tech start-up and Private Equity. He is excited to be spending the summer at McKinsey & Company in London, where he hopes to return on completion of his studies. Like Daniel, Max is a rugby player, although (whisper it quietly) he rather enjoyed watching this year’s superbowl, so Tuck has a lot to answer for!

Profile: Arty has never stayed put anywhere for long but London’s been home for 12 years, both during childhood and just pre-MBA. He studied Biology and Management at Imperial College London and was a consultant before Tuck. He spent a couple of years in Deloitte’s strategy consulting group in London where he worked on due diligence as well as traditional strategy projects. He spent this summer with Goldman Sachs in New York, within the Healthcare banking group – he’ll be returning to this role after graduation. One of Arty’s passions is playing squash, and he has been involved with the Squash club at Tuck. He also takes an active role in international activities, having helped organize last year’s London career-trek. Also, Arty is doing an exchange during his winter semester with ESSEC business school in Paris. Having been a “city boy” all his life, he is enjoying the experience of being away from the hustle and bustle for a while.

Profile: Alasdair already misses Tuck after graduating in June ’08. He now works for the London office of Booz & Company, where he worked as a Summer Associate the previous year. Prior to Tuck, Alasdair spent 5 years in the automotive industry, working in a number of roles at Jaguar & Land Rover in the West Midlands, ranging from purchasing to pricing. At Tuck, Alasdair was an avid (actually obsessive) tripod hockey player, missing just one game in 2 years, but he’s still trying to work out how to resurrect his fledgling hockey career back in London. He also regularly played squash, soccer and even cricket, and when the New Hampshire winters abated he took advantage of some of the awesome hiking opportunities in the area. In the second year, he was one of the managers of TuckStuff, the student-run on-campus store selling Tuck paraphernalia.
Education: University of Westminster, BA '94
Profile: Stephen is a T'07 and since graduating has worked at McKinsey in London, where he also worked as a Summer Associate the year before. Prior to Tuck, Stephen worked for 11 years in film and television. He worked in most roles during that time, from camera and sound to editing. Highlights included directing and producing two series for Discovery and also a feature film that he directed and produced a UK teen comedy called 'Neil's Party' which failed to make it to the Empire Leicester Square but succeeded in providing Stephen with interesting interview topics for the next few years! While he was at Tuck, Stephen was an avid tripod hockey player, and since returning to the UK has tried valiantly to keep up the ice skating at his local rink. Somehow it's not the same though! Stephen is married with two daughters, and when he attended Tuck he 'dragged' his whole family over to New England (they loved it). He would be very happy to talk to any prospective students with families who have doubts about the logistics of such a move (do it!!!!).
