About Tuck GIVES

In 1996, two Tuck students created a fund to support summer internships with nonprofit or public sector organizations. The goal is to supplement the compensation the nonprofit/public sector employers are able to pay. This incents Tuck students to take positions that would otherwise offer significantly less compensation than what is typically paid for MBA internships. Each year, the Tuck community gathers to raise funds predominantly through a silent and a live auction.

Since the auction began in 2001, the Tuck community has raised almost $600,000 and supported 132 internships around the world.

Tuck GIVES is student-organized with support from the Allwin Initiative for Corporate Citizenship and the Career Development Office. To see a video and read descriptions about recent internships, please visit the Allwin website.

Tuck GIVES 2012

This year’s Tuck GIVES silent auction will be April 10-11, 2012, and the live auction for a few very special items will take place on Thursday evening, April 12. The event will culminate with a school-wide Roaring 20s theme party on Thursday night. Think flappers, moonshine, fedoras, campus as a modern-day speakeasy, and The Great Gatsby (or perhaps more appropriate for Tuck, The Beautiful and the Damned). We look forward to seeing you at all of the festivities!
