Tuck Private Equity Club
Tuck’s Private Equity Club is one of the school’s largest clubs with over 120 members. The
club is student run and its members are very active participants
in the Private Equity Club’s
events.

Prior to attending Tuck, David was an Associate in the Alternative Capital Division of Credit Suisse, where he worked for a team managing over $10 billion in credit-oriented investment strategies. David covered the food & consumer products sectors, analyzing investment/trading opportunities across the capital structure in highly leveraged companies. During his tenure at CS, he also worked at DLJ Merchant Banking Partners, the private equity affiliate of CS with over $7 billion in capital under management. Prior to that, David was an Analyst in the Investment Banking Division of Banc of America Securities. David spent the summer in the Private Equity Group of Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, a multi-strategy alternative investment firm with over $9 billion in capital, focusing on growth equity transactions. David holds a B.A. in Economics from Dartmouth College.

Prior to Tuck, Bill was an Associate with TA Associates, a private equity firm in Boston with more than $10 billion of capital under management. While there he focused his efforts on buyouts, leveraged recapitalizations and growth equity investments in the financial services, business services and consumer products sectors. Prior to TA, Bill spent two years as an Analyst at Lehman Brothers, one year with the Real Estate Investment Banking group and one year with the Lehman Brothers Real Estate Private Equity Fund. Additionally, he spent the summer at Olympus Partners, a mid-market buyout fund in Stamford, Connecticut with approximately $2.5 billion in capital under management. Bill will be returning to TA Associates as a Vice President after his graduation from Tuck. He earned a BS in Business Administration, summa cum laude, from Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, where he was Phi Beta Kappa.

Martin W. Keck T'08 |

Prior to attending Tuck, Martin was an Analyst with Silver Lake Partners, a $5.8 billion technology-focused private equity firm in Silicon Valley. At Silver Lake Martin focused on large-scale buyouts of technology companies in the software, telecom and semiconductor sectors. Before joining Silver Lake, Martin worked for Needham & Company, an investment banking and asset management firm focused on serving emerging growth companies. Martin spent the summer in Bain’s Private Equity Group where he worked on transaction due diligence for deals in the technology and healthcare spaces. Martin holds a B.A. with honors in Economics and History from Amherst College.

Michael J. Picek T'08 |

Before attending Tuck, Michael was a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative and District Trainer with Schering AG, a $23.3B international pharmaceutical company. While at Schering Michael helped successfully launch two new dermatology products through work in sales, marketing, employee training, and managed care relations. Prior to Schering, Michael worked at National Dermatopatholgy Laboratory, a medical services start-up firm, and performed research in behavioral neuroscience at the University of California, Los Angeles. Over the summer, Michael worked as an Analyst at Konanda Pharma Partners, a healthcare focused alternative investment/private equity fund. Michael earned a B.S. in Psychobiology with Provost’s Honors List recognition from the University of California, Los Angeles. |
