On April 3, 2009, The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth will be hosting a unique media conference entitled The Tuck Media & Entertainment Symposium.
The focus of the Symposium will be "Monetizing Artistic Content: Music and Video Under New-Media Paradigms." Unlike other media business conferences, the Symposium will be exclusively focused on exploring the realm of artistic content, paying specific attention to music, film, and television. The academic content will be explored by multiple industry panels and a keynote speaker, and these events will be augmented by a virtual circus of artistic and musical events.
The Symposium will bring together and explore diverse perspectives from the Dartmouth media community to reflect on the rapidly-changing landscape of the entertainment industry. Conference attendants will hear from artists, writers, entrepreneurs, bankers, senior managers, and investors.
The Symposium is being realized by a team of students at the Tuck School of Business, in cooperation with the Center for Digital Strategies, the Center for Private Equity and Entrepreneurship, and the Allwin Initiative for Corporate Citizenship. We are actively seeking Tuck and Dartmouth alumni to participate and contribute to our mission.
