About Us

Mission

The Tuck Entrepreneurship Club aims to provide the resources and opportunities to facilitate a meaningful immersion in entrepreneurial ventures. This may include assisting in the creation and development of individual business plans and ideas, coordinating events held both within and without Tuck aimed at creating an entrepreneurial network, or establishing a foundation for any Tuck individual to learn by action the methods associated with an entrepreneurial enterprise.

Tuck is flanked by world-class engineering and medical schools. Members of both Thayer School of Engineering and the Dartmouth Medical School provide a steady stream of ideas, concepts, prototypes and technologies. The creators of these opportunities frequently need someone to make it into a viable business venture. The E-ship club helps aggregate and connect these opportunities with Tuck students ready to take them on through a General Management Forum Project or an independent study.

We do so through the following channels:

  1. Selecting established entrepreneurs to present on their experiences as part of the Tuck Entrepreneurial Networking Series.
  2. Coordinating Tuck's entry in various school and private run business plan competitions.
  3. Partnering with the Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Network to provide Tuck students with the ability to consult to other members of the Dartmouth community interested in establishing or growing free market enterprises.
  4. Assist in the development of Tuck specific business ideas through coordination with the Tuck General Management Forum and with the Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Network.
  5. Act as a resource to identify and facilitate communication with Tuck alumni in order to build a network of managerial, advisory, and financial resources for Tuck entrepreneurs.
