Diya Gullapalli is a New York-based reporter for The Wall Street Journal’s Money & Investing section covering mutual funds. She reports to Neal Templin, an editor for Money & Investing. Diya began her career at the Journal reporting on accounting.
Prior to joining The Wall Street Journal in July 2004, Ms. Gullapalli held a number of editorial-related positions, including stints during college with Teen People magazine and The Dow Jones Newspaper Fund. In the summer of 2002, she worked as a staff reporter for the Journal. From 2003 to 2004, she served as an investment-banking analyst at Lehman Brothers before coming to the Journal full time in July 2004.
Born in New York, Ms. Gullapalli received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce. While attending Virginia, Ms. Gullapalli was the business page editor for the university’s newspaper, The Cavalier Daily, and the news team co-founder for the campus radio station. She was also a University of Virginia Rhodes Scholar finalist. She currently resides in New York.
