Dartmouth Professors and Researchers Present at WEIS 2009 in LondonAjit Appari, CDS Research Fellow, Denise Anthony, Research Director, Institute for Security, Technology, and Society at Dartmouth College and Associate Professor and Chair in the Department of Sociology, Dartmouth College and Professor M. Eric Johnson, CDS Director presented "HIPAA Compliance: An Examination of Institutional and Market Forces," at the WEIS (Workshop on the Economics of Information Security) Conference in London on June 24-25. Professor Johnson serves on the conference committee. Their presentation was timely, given the current U.S. healthcare debate.

Rich Ross, President, Disney Channels Worldwide and John Garing, CIO, Defense Information Systems Agency, appear on Fast Company magazine's list of the 100 Most Creative People in Business. Ross, the man behind Disney's popular Hannah Montana and High School Musical franchises, visited Tuck in January to participate in the Center's Tech@Tuck panel discussion on the future of video. Garing is a participant in the Center's Thought Leadership Roundtable on Digital Strategies. He is credited with creating a cloud computing solution designed to speed up the process for innovating technology for the military.
