Lisa B. Miller

Executive Director, Center for International Business, Tuck School

Lisa Miller is the executive director of the Center for International Business (CIB) at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

At Tuck since 2006, Lisa has worked as a champion of international business education for the MBA community. She launched successful annual international Learning Expeditions for students, established productive alumni and executive networks for global programming at Tuck, and grew the CIB’s MBA Fellows program to support faculty research and curricular activities. Lisa also works with the Dean’s Office on global initiatives across the Tuck campus, including Tuck’s strategies for international outreach and international business education.


Lisa’s expertise is in new product development, strategy, international education, and working across cultures.

She has served as director of product management at SensAble Technologies of Woburn, Mass., and director of product marketing at Sitara Networks of Waltham, Mass., both venture-backed, high-tech companies. She was also a member of the Marketing Leadership Program at Ford Motor Company, where she worked on the Taurus-Sable program and trained teams in Latin America, Asia, and the U.S. on brand management.

Lisa has been fascinated with the world outside her home country of the U.S. since she was a child and actively sought opportunities for international education and work. She pursued international undergraduate and graduate degrees, learned Mandarin Chinese and French, and participated in foreign-study programs in Tunisia, Tianjin, China, and Beijing, China. She has a variety of international work experience, including working as a local hire in Taiwan and an expat in Singapore, and tackling global projects while based in the U.S. With Tuck, Lisa is based in the U.S. and travels regularly to strengthen the school’s presence around the world. Recent visits to Japan, China, India, and Brazil have helped to build Tuck’s engagement with these countries.

Lisa earned her undergraduate degree in Asian Studies from Swarthmore College and graduated in 1995 from the Wharton School and The Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania with an MBA in Marketing and an MA in International Studies/China.
