Are you ready to work in cross-cultural teams?

What is your:

  • ability to adapt to new people and ideas?
  • willingness to work in different ways?
  • level of skill in managing the complexity of cultural diversity?

Maarten Asser returns to Tuck on January 28 to lead an interactive and hands-on Intercultural Readiness Workshop for students. This program has been specially designed for Tuck students.

Participants will take an Intercultural Readiness Check survey and receive individual feedback on how to improve and prepare for a career that will undoubtedly need practical tools for thriving in the global business environment.

We encourage study groups and project teams to sign up together. Participants, whether attending individually or as a team, will get feedback to boost their intercultural readiness.

The IRC survey captures four competencies:

  • Intercultural Sensitivity: The degree to which a person takes an active interest in others, their cultural background, needs and perspectives.
  • Building Commitment: The degree to which a person actively influences the social environment, concerned with integrating different people and personalities.
  • Intercultural Communication: The degree to which a person actively monitors own communicative behaviors.
  • Managing Uncertainty: The degree to which a person is able to manage the greater uncertainty of intercultural situations.

This Tuck program is co-hosted by the Center for International Business and the MBA Program Office.

Registration deadline is 5 p.m. on January 17, and seats are limited. To sign up, go to:

All registrants are required to complete the IRC survey before 8 p.m. on January 19.
