Field Study in International Business


The Field Study in International Business (FSIB) course, known to clients as Tuck Global Consultancy, is sponsored by the Center for International Business. It gives Tuck second-year students the opportunity to participate in on-site corporate consulting projects in international venues.

Students selecting this program will:

  • Travel abroad and gain invaluable experience as part of an international consulting team
  • Work closely with the head office and local management of the firm
  • Analyze and develop solutions to a corporate client's real-world problems
  • Conduct intensive primary research and analysis in the assigned country
  • Present a summary of findings to local management
  • Follow up with a final report to US-based management

Projects teams have been to more than 45 countries, including:

Brazil, China, Czech Republic, Egypt, El Salvador, France, India, Korea, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Tanzania, Turkey, UAE, UK, and Vietnam

FSIB has completed 154 projects for 95 clients:

Alcoa, BT, Cargill, Cisco (Scientific Atlanta), Citibank, Corning, DHL, DuPont, Hilti, HP, Home Depot, Intel, John Deere, Johnson & Johnson, McGraw-Hill, Microsoft, Nike, Unilever, and Walmart
