Research

Connect with the possibilities of transformational ideas.

With the dramatic changes brought about by globalization and technological revolution, transforming organizations and industries for competitive advantage is a top priority for CEOs. The center's field research regularly uncovers new insights into this challenge by investigating practices of corporations across a wide variety of industries.

The center reaches a broad audience through its publications. The center publishes articles for academic journals, management journals, and business magazines; case studies for use in MBA and executive programs; and management books.

For example, culminating five years of research, Professors Vijay Govindarajan and Chris Trimble recently completed Ten Rules for Strategic Innovators — from Idea to Execution. The book, which explains the central challenges of converting breakthrough ideas to breakthrough growth, will be available from Harvard Business School Press by December 1, 2005. Also, The Quest for Global Dominance, by Vijay Govindarajan and Anil Gupta, is a must-read for every executive wrestling with the challenges of building a global organization.

In addition to publishing research from field studies, the center also publishes viewpoints and opinions on topics important to senior executives in global corporations, in order to stimulate thoughtful dialogue.
